Delicious Immune Boosting Drinks To Get You Through The Winter

Try some or all of these drinks to warm you up and help to boost your immune system this winter!

  1. Ginger Morning Zinger Shot (juicer)
  2. Bulletproof Coffee (whisk or nutribullet)
  3. Warm Turmeric Tea
  4. Spicy Ginger Tea

GINGER MORNING ZINGER SHOT

Ingredients:

  • 2 Clementines
  • 1/2 Lemon with rind
  • Ginger (1-2cm or to taste)
  • Turmeric drops, root, or powder

Method:

  • Put them all in a juicer then add the turmeric at the end and enjoy!

BULLETPROOF COFFEE

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 tsp grass fed butter
  • 1-2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1-2 cups of hot brewed coffee

Method:

  1. Make a filter coffee with real quality coffee
  2. Add a spoon of butter and coconut oil – whisk
  3. And a sprinkle of cinnamon
  4. Blend in blender or hand whisk and enjoy!!

WARM TURMERIC TEA

Ingredients:

  • 4 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tsp Ginger
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2tsp raw honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • Boiling water

Method:

  1. Fill the cup 1/2 with water
  2. Add turmeric and ginger
  3. Cover and let it settle for 10 minutes
  4. Stir in the cinnamon, vanilla, and pepper
  5. Fill the rest of the cup with warm coconut milk
  6. Enjoy!

SPICY GINGER TEA

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of water
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 slices (1/4 inch thick) of fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tbsp. turmeric
  • 1 pinch cayenne (start with this and add more to taste…the more you can handle the better)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp raw honey (can add more or less to achieve desired sweetness)

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients (except honey) to a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add honey and stir, adding more if necessary.
  4. Pour tea through a strainer and drink while warm.

Tip: give the lemon a good roll on the counter first to break up the cells and liberate the juice!

Tip: Add a pinch of high quality salt (sea, Himalayan, Celtic, Hawaiian) to your drink to increase mineral content – great if you wake up feeling groggy and with a headache!
